Welcome back, my friend! I'm delighted that you're here, today. Thank you for taking the time to read my articles. It's a pleasure to help you on your spiritual path. Let me start today's article by boldly asking you, "Who are you?" If you contemplate the words "I am," what comes up?

Obviously, you're incarnating a physical form, a body you run around and experience your life in, but is that body also you? And what about your mind? René Descartes once boldly proclaimed, "I think, therefore I am." So, are you your thoughts, then? What about your feelings and emotions? They seem very real, very tangible, right? And what about the little voice you can "hear" commenting on every situation, every encounter, and every thing that happens to you? Maybe you can even perceive two or more voices. Which one is you?

The short answer is this: You're neither your body, nor your mind, a.k.a. the source of your thoughts, beliefs, and feelings. That leaves us with "I am." I am what? A woman. A man. A human being. A writer. A student. An artist. Really? No. Those are just words, fixed labels to create of sense of "self," of "I," as in identity, which only leads to a perceived sense of separation and resistance to Oneness.

What is your identity, anyway? Before you decide if you want to keep attaching your sense of self to it or not, you've to know it, first. Your identity is your unique sense of self, a complex mix of personal traits, beliefs, experiences, relationships, and social roles that define "who you are." It gives you a feeling of continuity and belonging over time, and is shaped by both your internal self-perception and external social influences, such as your family, friends, media, and culture.

In essence, your identity is a multifaceted concept that is influenced by both what you believe you are and what the world tells you that you are. It's very powerful. Why? Because it influences your decisions, goals, and interactions. But, it's not you either. It's just a mental construct, "a mirrage in the vast and unforgiving desert" of your mind.

So, what are you, then? Any idea, yet? Do you remember that everything is energy? Great! You are energy, too. But, you're more. At one time, you emerged out of the energy field - Universal Consciousness - that all of existence derives from and manifested into a beautiful soul. This soul is your eternal essence. It's the core of your being that incarnates across many lives, holding wisdom, experiences, and lessons from each lifetime for you to continuously grow and evolve, spiritually.

That's not all. You're also your Higher Self, which is energy, not having manifested into form, so you can't touch it. Basically, you can't perceive this magnificent and very powerful part of you through any of your five human senses. For you to connect with your Higher Self, you have to turn inwards, instead of outwards. Your have to close your eyes and feel inside. Listen with your heart, instead of your ears.

Your Higher Self is your true nature. It's part of your soul. It's the "real" you, which your soul merges with, when your body ceases to exist, before eventually falling back into Universal Consciousness, you once derived from. Your innate wisdom and purpose, your soul's mission plan, and your hearts deepest longings are "stored" in this space or field of energy, vibrating at the highest frequency, which your Higher Self exists in.

The guidance you receive, the insights that seemingly come out of nowhere, all those tiny "Aha moments" in life, when you are given clues to the deeper meaning behind certain things, people, or circumstances, are all coming from your Higher Self, meant to help you fulfill your soul's mission and live your highest potential, while venturing along your precious path through life.

You Higher Self is timeless. It's formless. It's infinite. It's always evolving and continuously changing - a true masterpiece. That's who you really are. Yes, you, my fellow Spirit. Although you may feel confused, weak, inferior, anxious, angry, sad, discouraged, or generally "not good enough" at times, that's not who you are. That's just what your mind makes you believe to be. It's a lie, an illusion, and what a painful one.

Imagine a gigantic iceberg softly floating in the ocean. At first glance, you only see a small fraction of it, as that is the only part that's sticking out of the water. That's basically you in your physical form, including your human mind. However, if you were to dive into the depth of the ocean, immersing yourself deep enough to actually see the wholeness of this iceberg, you would be amazed of how huge it actually is. The same is true for your soul and Higher Self.

You, in your current human form, are the bridge, integrating the wisdom from your Higher Self with the experiences held in your soul to navigate life. And although your physical form may seem like an actual part of you, in reality it's not. Your body is just a "shell", a highly intelligent, deeply connected, marvelous "container" of sorts that is used to let the ethereal, divine essence, the soul, that you are, embody to have a human life experience.

Your mind, on the other hand, is just a tool. An outstanding, super functional, and very capable computer, which has been created to help you efficiently analyze, plan, and execute certain tasks. It's great for solving practical jobs that require making use of your internal hard-drive by retrieving data that have already been stored away, due to prior experiences of yours.

But, it has its limitations. Everything that is new, or that is related to uncertain, future events, quickly leads to overheating of the computer. What usually happens is that you feel fearful, frightened, or overwhelmed. That's basically your computer letting you know it has reached a dead end. However, if you continuously push on, relying on its ability to provide you with a proper solution to your problems, you may end up lost, without any cellphone connection, in the middle of nowhere, because you used the wrong device for navigation, guidance, and inspiration in the first place.

Maybe you are already starting to realize why it might be a good idea to establish a clear connection with your Higher Self, as it is not only the very best navigation device on the market, but also comes with a lifetime guarantee for updates, maps, live traffic, and even speed alerts, in case you try to rush through life, as if it were a race.

Your Higher Self is the most advanced part of you, as it's closely connected with Universal Consciousness. It's what allows you to see the good in yourself, in others, and in life itself. It inspires you to listen with your heart, to speak from your heart, and to act out of kindness, compassion, understanding, and love. It continuously brings out the very best in you, and has every intention for you to succeed in your "game of life."

That's who you are. That's what we all are. If you zoom out far enough, you'll end up with just pure energy. Form is nonexistent. Separation is nonexistent. Just one gigantic, infinite, timeless, expansive field of energy - just Oneness. Your soul, your Higher Self, is just that.
