Welcome and hello, my magic friend. I hope you're doing well and are enjoying your day so far. Today, I wanna take you with me behind-the-scenes to show you how I bring out and nurture my Little Spirit, the fun-loving three-year old in me, to counterbalance the sternness and rigidity of the world of grownups. Wanna join me for a joyride? Let's fool around and have some fun.

As responsible grownups, our everyday lives typically revolve around work, family and friends, health-, relationship-, and/or financial-issues, and, if time allows, hobbies. In between, we try to squeeze in a little bit of traveling, "self development" projects, and maybe even some self care. But, trying to bring a good job performance to pay all the bills, a functioning family life, and attending to our personal needs under one roof is an ever-present challenge.

We're all human. We're all more or less the same. Every day, we get up, roll up our sleeves, and try our best to make lemonade out of the box full of citrus fruits that has been miraculously delivered to our doorstep, every night while we're fast asleep. Does it work? Does the lemonade taste lekker? Sometimes. Maybe you forgot the sugar?

In terms of my daily life and the challenges I'm presented with, I'm just like you. I'm a fighter. We all are. My physical form is full of scares and bruises, remnants of former battles, memorabilia of my life's journey, that has led me straight through the thorny fynbos and muddy waters of the adventurous 4x4 parcours, my soul once chose as the perfect playground for my "game of life" to take place in.

Yet, I'm also "a child of the sun." I'm a "starseed," a "bearer of light," consciously connected with my Higher Self and the Spiritual Realm. I remember my soul's origin and my current mission here in this realm. The light that I carry in me has the potential to inspire and enlighten you, guiding you to find your own light. This inner light is also the sugar for my lemonade. But, it's not the only sweetener I use. Four is the magic number, here.

Love, light, a.k.a. enlightenment, and peace. Those are our core vibrational frequencies. They represent our natural State of Being. As Spiritual Beings, all of us naturally vibrate on either one of those wavelengths, continuously and seemlessly flowing between them. Nothing is static and neither is our State of Being.

However, as we experience our human lives in the "training school" of the Earth Realm, most of us drift into the lower frequencies, without knowing. Why? We lose touch with our souls. We listen to our minds instead of our hearts. We embody negative emotions and feelings almost 24/7, if we don't pay attention. Our human lives get to us, they take their toll, and wear us out.

It's finally time to connect with and nurture your soul, don't you think? Let's bring out your Little Spirit for a play-date. Let's follow the stars, go for a joyride, and sweeten our lemonade until it finally tastes lekker, again. If you counted my secret ingredients, you only come to three. So, what's the fourth one, then? Joy!

Joy is the icing on my cake of life. It's the perfect choice to lighten up my day and turn its sourness into sweet, heart-warming bliss and ease. "Sour makes merry." Not this time. I like my lemonade sweet, and I bet so do you. Especially if it's your life experience we're talking about here.

Throughout my articles, I almost always integrate the advice "to do what sparks joy in you." It's like a theme, a daily reminder not to forget to enjoy the sweetness of your human life experience. Do you enjoy yourself, so far? I asked you several times already, "what sparks joy in you?" Did you come up with something, yet? Do you actually follow through with it?

I enjoy myself and my human life experience here on Earth very much. In fact, I love it - despite the challenges, or maybe even just because of them. On two or three occasions, I wrote a bit about my health issues and the challenges I'm dealing with in terms of my physical body. That doesn't keep me from enjoying myself. I'm deeply impressed and in infinite gratitude for its intelligence, perseverance, and ability to "walk me" through life, every day anew. I feel so much appreciation and love for it, words don't suffice.

And then there's my mind - my crazy, relentless, freakin' capable, yet hard to "put in place" mind. My mind is like a wild horse, unwilling to be "broken in." If I want to ride it, I've to do so without a saddle or any other equipment. Just me and my wild mustang, going on a sky ride. I love it. It asks everything from me and more. Meditation, distraction, and mindfulness, very helpful to some extent. I have to get creative if I wanna be in charge.

Where's the joy in all of this? Right here, my friend. I try to find joy in the most unexpected places and circumstances. Star-gazing, cloud-watching, sun-soaking, going out for a walk in nature, those activities definitely spark joy in me. That's finding joy for beginner's. Being able to laugh at myself when my "monkey mind" is trying to take me "on a banana ultra," that's something else entirely. Or, when my body decides to "bring out the big guns" just because I ate a tiny morsel of the "poisonous fruit," which isn't even noticeable to others. That's the advanced version of it.

This level isn't suited for everyone, I admit. Although some of us are being forced to push the boundaries of what is humanly possible, again and again. You're not alone in your struggles. Your determined efforts to stay afloat and thrive somehow don't go unnoticed. Your soul just chose to grow a bit more, expand a bit wider, and transform beyond what you think is possible. You're so strong, so precious and beautiful, please never lose hope. Never give up on yourself. Your pain isn't in vain.

Before I venture too far off track, let's take a quick refreshment break. How about some freshly squeezed lemonade? Enjoy! While you quench your thirst, may I ask you something? How often did you laugh today? Or yesterday? Did you play something? When was the last time that you played around for no specific reason and had fun doing so?

I ask the three-year old, the Little Spirit in me out for a play-date, as often as possible. Whether it's playing Frisbee or Ball, I like to have a good time. Nothing can stop me from trying out the climbing frames and swings on the playground, either. Joyfully jumping on a big trampoline always makes me smile from ear to ear and giggle like a little child in a candystore. I also like to browse around in the toy store and try out their products.

If you have kids, play with them. Immerse and lose yourself in their fantasy world for a while. Take them on a playground and join the party. Forget what others might think, seeing you dangling from the climbing frame as you enjoy yourself. Who the hell cares? Watch a children's movie with them and buy a huge bucket of popcorn for the entire bunch to enjoy. It's absolutely worth it.

Movies for grownups are full of violence, overblown action-scenes, and swearing. They lower your frequency in an instant. Children's movies, on the other hand, are cheerful, uplifting, and meant to make you laugh, or at least have a good time while watching them. In short, they raise your frequency. It's all about joy - enjoying yourself and your life.

We can learn so much from the little ones. They're fearless. They enjoy life to the fullest, right here, right now. They don't fret about the future. They dream about it. When was the last time you dreamt about something nice? Not at night. During the day. Daydreaming, a highly underestimated activity. Why? It allows you to get creative, to visualize a nice future for yourself, and to use your mind for something joyful, as a change.

Thinking is highly overrated. I already wrote about it, extensively. Your mind has no clue about your soul's mission and your heart's deepest desires. You have to feel those. Feeling inside, you quickly notice what activities and thoughts lower your vibrational frequency, and which ones raise it. You can feel what sparks joy in you and ignites your inner fire.

Use your senses, both your human and spiritual ones. Your human senses allow you to experience your outer world with excitement, curiosity, and joy. Your spiritual senses give you access to your soul, help you get inspired, and experience the unseen reality of the Spiritual Realm. Together, they make your life so much richer, deeper, and more meaningful than you might realize right now. Just try it out for yourself.

When I'm out in nature, I always immerse myself completely into my experience. I smell the flowers, plants, and air. I close my eyes and listen, to the sound of waves, birds, crickets, or wind in the trees. I also like to get a feel for my environment, so I touch everything, much like a three-year old. But I don't eat or chew anything. My sense for adventure still has some minor limitations.

Anyhow, you get my point, I'm sure. You can't start a fire without a spark. Joy can be found everywhere and under all kinds of circumstances. Beginner's or advanced level, doesn't matter. It's your choice how far you wanna take your joyride. Put on some music - Roxette's "Joyride" is what I've in mind - dance around, and sing along, alone or with others. Be "the heart of the funfair" and enjoy your precious, transient life to the fullest. This can all be over, too soon. Savor every moment, every encounter, every experience consciously. Take it all in. Memorize as much as possible. Be a joyrider!
